xLaunching digital media businesses in a fast-paced program by providing seed funding, business training and mentor coaching
The Ohio University Innovation Engine Accelerator is a digital media business accelerator located in Ohio. Made possible by public and private support, the Innovation Engine Accelerator is launching its second 12-week boot camp providing seed funding for selected teams this summer. By the end of the program, each company will have a market-tested MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and an investor-ready pitch developed to attract follow-on funding.
The five companies selected to participate will showcase their product at the end of the program.

This in-depth program uses Lean Startup principles to advance your company. During summer 2013 (May 28 - August 16), you will refine your business plan and product, receive expert entrepreneurial coaching and advice, and have the opportunity to pitch your company to investors.
Each company selected will receive up to $20,000 distributed throughout the summer as teams meet stringent agreed-upon milestones and participate in accelerator business training and events.
Fifty mentors—startup entrepreneurs, venture and angel investors, C-level industry executives, technical specialists, professional service providers, and venture development executives—provided intensive business coaching to our 2012 teams. These experts will offer hours of one-on-one support to your startup to bolster your success.
We’ll provide the equipment and software your digital media company needs to succeed while in the Accelerator: Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro X, Autodesk Maya, Unity Pro Suite, iPhones, iPads, Android Devices, and iMacs.
Companies will use 1,000 sq. ft. of creative shared space with pods for each team; Whiteboards and flat screen monitors for prototype demonstrations; Conference tables and sofas; Five additional private conference rooms available by reservation; Shared kitchen space; Mailboxes with individual business addresses; Printer, copier, fax, scanner and tons of specialty office equipment.
We provide no or low cost legal assistance through our Attorney-in-Residence partner Bricker & Eckler for easy company formation.
